You hear the phrase, “Just wait until you are a parent,” many times throughout your teenage years. Well, now that I have had my first child I have a new appreciation for my parents and any other good and caring parents. Tomorrow, Cole will be three weeks old and I am slowly learning the parenting techniques. There of course have been some nights of very little sleep, and a few moments when you wonder what you are doing wrong, but I have loved getting to have this role of being a mother.

One of my favorite inspirational sayings is “I never said it would be easy, I only said it would be worth it.” I think this phrase is good to apply to parenting. Again, although I have only been a parent for three weeks, I am already feeling the joy of motherhood.

Today is a day for much celebration, so I am listing them for recognition.

1. Happy 1st Father’s Day to Brian. After one week he is already number one dad.

Candace is still in the hospital, but I know there are those that follow her blog and would like an update.

After 36 hours of labor, and little progress, Candace received a c-section surgery. Cole George Stucki was born on Sunday at 5:55 PM. His is 8lbs 7oz and 19 inches long. Everything seems to be healthy with him.

Candace is able to move a bit more and she’s looking forward to coming home. Our family has been very helpful and respectful of our little growing family.
