Music Memories

Music is such a wonderful thing. Certain songs can create different emotions or memories. Today I was listening to The Pulse on XM radio and “One Head Light” from the Wallflowers came on. I have not heard this song in a long time. It was fun to listen to it though, because it brought me back to my freshman year of high school when my cousin would play it from seminary to school in her car. It brought back all those memories and it was fun to think about things I had forgotten.

Does this happen for any of you?

Yup. All the time. Particularly any song that came out during the mid-nineties. It makes me remember how silly and dancey and fun I used to be! :o )

there are certain songs i hear that take me back to the last summer we had in las vegas. the feeling of driving around (well, being driven around…) in the heat with the windows down. i love it!

“One Headlight” always reminds me of California for some reason!

Music is so powerful and when an song comes on it takes me right back to that time. I usually associate songs with years. Like “One Headlight” is 1996 to me.

Hey Candace, it’s your cousin Michelle. I just wanted to say Congrats on that beautiful new baby of yours. He is gorgeous. And about the music, I’m always amazed at how a song can either make me really happy or really sad. Can’t wait to see Will in person.
