The sweetest thing

Any of you who know Brian, knows that he is good with putting his feelings down in words (poems or songs).
While I was taking a nice little nap, he decided to write a poem to our unborn son and called it “If I Could Have One Look At You”. I loved it so much and I thought I would share it with all of you to see how excited he is to have this little boy. He is going to be such a great father.
“If I could have one look at you it sure would be a treat
I’d sit here in anticipation of the time that we would meet
I would count your fingers and put a number on your toes
See if you have dad’s black hair, as that’s what we suppose
I think I’d see a smile that could never be outdone
A giggle would come next as you are your mother’s son
So many things we’d know, every feature, every trait
Just one little look would sure help ease the wait
But if I could gaze at you, you could surely see me too
You’d see that I am learning and to me this all is new
You’d wonder if you’re ready to teach us all the ways
Perhaps you would be happy that you’re safe a few more days
So maybe it is better if we both take time to grow
Show a little patience for the chance to say hello
If I could have one look at you I sure would love the sight
But God knew all along that the timing is just right”
Brian

I love that so much. I can’t wait to see you two hauling around a baby carrier and diaper bag. You with BOTH be such loving and patient parents. Little George is one lucky baby.

I didn’t know Brian was so talented in this area. I do know that I applied my make-up to go out and take care of errands and after reading his poem I had to fix my make-up again before I left the house. Awesome poem!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
